DripTech Eco-Flow | Irrigation equipment in Kenya
What a good irrigation quotation should include
An acreage label or one-line total is not enough to compare irrigation suppliers. A useful quotation should show how the system was sized, exactly which components are included, what installation covers and what support is available after commissioning.
1. Farm and crop design assumptions
- Farm location, irrigated area and a layout or field sketch
- Crop, plant spacing, bed width and number of irrigation lines per bed
- Emitter spacing, flow rate and dripline wall thickness or product model
- Number of irrigation zones and which zones can operate together
- Any assumptions about soil, slope, water availability and daily irrigation time
2. Water source, pump and filtration specification
- Water source and any water-quality checks used for equipment selection
- Required flow rate and pressure at the operating irrigation zone
- Pump make and model, performance curve and total head assumptions where pumping is required
- Filter type, rating, flow capacity and cleaning access
- Mainline and submain pipe sizes, valve layout and pressure regulation
3. What the price includes and excludes
Ask the supplier to separate equipment, transport, installation labour, trenching or earthworks, tank and tank stand, electrical work, commissioning and training. A low headline price may exclude items that are essential to make the system operational.
Compare the bill of materials line by line. Check quantities, units, sizes, models and whether fittings, flush points, valves, connectors and end closures are included.
4. Warranty, commissioning and after-sales support
- Written warranty period and the parts or labour it covers
- Who handles warranty claims and which contact channel to use
- Availability of replacement filters, emitters, fittings and pump spares
- Whether the supplier tests flow and pressure during commissioning
- Whether you receive an operating guide, maintenance schedule and system layout
5. Questions to ask before paying
Can you show the calculation behind the pump and pipe sizes? Which components are excluded from the quotation? Who will test the system after installation? What should I do if the flow reduces or emitters block? How do I obtain spare parts or request warranty service?
A responsible supplier should be able to explain the assumptions and limitations in plain language. DripTech Eco Flow can help prepare an equipment list for your farm; final specifications should be checked against the site and product documentation.
Prepare your farm information
Send your location, crop, acreage, row or bed spacing, water source, tank or pump details and a field sketch. Use the irrigation cost calculator for an initial planning estimate, then request a verified bill of materials and written quotation.
