DripTech Kenya
Irrigation water filters for farms in Kenya
Filtration helps protect drip emitters and other irrigation components from particles that can cause blockages. The right filter depends on the water source, the contaminants present, system flow and the equipment manufacturer's requirements.
Choose filtration for the water source
Water from a borehole, river, dam, pond or storage tank can contain different types and amounts of debris. Check the water source and the irrigation equipment specification before selecting a screen, disc or other filtration arrangement.
Filter capacity should suit the system's flow and pressure. A filter that is too small can restrict flow, while an unsuitable filter may not protect the emitters adequately.
Installation and routine checks
- Install the filter in the correct direction and position for the equipment
- Check the filter element and clean it according to the manufacturer's instructions
- Monitor pressure changes that may indicate a dirty filter
- Provide access for cleaning and maintenance
- Use additional treatment only where the water quality and system design call for it
Get help choosing a filter
Share your water source, pump or system flow if known, and the type of irrigation equipment being protected. This helps narrow down the appropriate filter and supporting fittings without guessing a specification.
