Irrigation system maintenance checklist
Routine maintenance helps farmers find leaks, blockages and pressure problems before they disrupt watering. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for each component and adapt checks to the water source and system design.
Regular checks for drip systems
- Inspect and clean filters as directed by the manufacturer
- Look for leaks, damaged connectors and loose fittings
- Check line ends and flush according to the system instructions
- Look for blocked emitters or uneven water delivery
- Monitor pressure and confirm valves operate correctly
Sprinkler, pump and storage checks
Check sprinkler heads for damage or obstruction and confirm spacing and pressure remain appropriate. Inspect pump connections, controls and storage arrangements according to the equipment manual; isolate power safely before servicing.
If pressure changes, leaks persist or equipment behaves unusually, stop and have the system assessed rather than making adjustments beyond your training.
Need help troubleshooting?
When contacting a technician, provide the water source, equipment type, symptoms, photos if safe to take, and any recent changes. DripTech Eco Flow can help discuss product compatibility and irrigation support.
